Heivatn - quiet and beautiful hike on Seljordsheii
On Seljordsheii you'll find a peaceful and open landscape that's ideal for mountain hiking - and one of the finest hiking destinations in the area is Heivatn, a quiet lake nestled between heather moorland and hills.

The hike starts from the barrier at Åsgrend, where you follow a nice and easy path into the mountains. The road winds quietly through the landscape, and it is easy to walk or cycle all the way to the lake.

Heivatn is a good destination for hikes with children, the elderly and hikers who want a lighter experience - preferably with a snack and a long break at the edge of the lake. Here you can swim, fish, take photos or just enjoy the peace and quiet and the view of the moors.
