Sunday visit to Vehus'n (between Åmot and Rauland). My wife was not at home, as she had already travelled to the farm. Me and my girlfriend are not afraid to ask, so we took the long walk up to visit Vehuskjerringi up there at 1356 metres above sea level. Brilliant hiking weather today. Not too hot and not too much sun. We walked from the car park, down by the road and up the tractor road for about 2.5 km before entering the trail. It only gets steeper and steeper as you go up. 2.5 km on the trail and a climb of about 640 metres. At the top there are good views. You can see Totak and a bit of Møsvatn. Raulandsfjella. Gaustatoppen in the east. And I can tell you that it looks like there will be a lot of hiking this year, again. The trip is 10 kilometres and takes 3-4 hours if you take plenty of breaks. Which you should do.
