Sometimes you have to go to the top of Skorve. The mountain lies majestically there, revealing itself at the north end of Seljordsvatnet lake. On days like this, the mountain is stunning. Normally warm and fairly insect-free. Getting over the tree line has been a long time coming. Now the time is here. A warm breeze and glorious sunshine until late in the evening. The trip up is well known, far beyond our borders. From the car park down in Kivledalen at Haugan, you climb steeply, past Karlstaul and Nystaul, before the signs point the way to Gøysen and upwards. Finally, you reach Skorvetoppen at 1369 metres above sea level. With a view of Gaustatoppen to the rear and all the other mountains in the municipality on all sides. You must visit Skorve at least once a year, but preferably 10.
