A great and fairly easy hike to Dansarsteinen at Kvambekk (below Heidalsnutane) takes you above the tree line. In other words, up the mountain with just 1.3 kilometres of walking. You head up into Vinje and into Åmotsdal, Seljord. This is on the border between the municipalities, but on the Seljord side. Thanks to Vinje Turlag for making the trail so beautiful and accessible to the general public! Vinje Turlag - if you're up to it, you can walk a few hundred metres to the top of Heidalsnuten at 1104 metres above sea level.
