Veggine (1032 metres above sea level) just west of Grimdalen in Skafsåheia, Tokke. Isn't it marvellous or strange that the tinnitus disappears when you're out in the woods and fields? Or is it perhaps that the sound blends into the symphony of buzzing mountain bumblebees, brook rushes, birch rustling and a rhythmic lynx in the distance? Either way, it helps a lot and everything is just fine. Start the hike 4 km past Grimdalstunet. There are signs by the road. There is a marked path up the valley towards Breidvatn. Turn right about 2 km up the path. From there, it's up the mountain. You first come to a peak above Grøndalen. But you have to go further. So, you have to continue over a fantastic plain before you reach 1032 metres above sea level at Veggine. Brilliant views towards Rautefjell in the north, the forest behind Hallbjørnsekken in the west, Eirefjell in the east and Fyresdalsheian in the south. Beautiful wilderness and hardly anyone else to see. Only one good local fisherman, who caught 7 auras. Total length of 11 km with 470 vertical metres. 3-4 hours, you have to reckon with.
