Astridnatten, on the front and Seljord side of Lifjell, is a beautiful and demanding peak to reach. You start at Manheim and the Veslestaul car park (new car park). Here it is incredibly beautiful up the slopes. You start in the forest. In the heat and toil, you head up towards the rocks. It gets steeper and steeper. But then you get a bit more air in your bum. It helps, because it's longer to Astridnatten than you might think. A total of 12 kilometres up and down. And with 860 vertical metres to climb to reach 1215 metres above sea level. This is no kindergarten trip. But if you take the day to help you, you'll see that you get both yourself and the kids up here. It's great to hike Lifjell, whether it's from the front or the back. Have a good trip!
