The dancing hall in Krokan in Seljord is a well-known and much-loved local attraction. This short but steep hike takes you up to the dance floor on the mountain. Just over a kilometre up through beautiful untouched forest. Lots of birds chirping and beautiful colours in the flowers and terrain. You can imagine what kind of dance parties they had here in ancient times. A short distance away, but still grey and secluded, young people had a free zone for fun and frolic. The youth party of the time. I think I can still hear them. By the way, there's a bit of scrub to go through from the barrier into the forest.
