Upstream of the ski centre in Raudkleiv, there is a fantastic forest area. Straight out of the piste and into the forest by the sign to Årnoteren. From here you can walk up through the forest to Årnotratjønn and on to Havretjønn. Quiet and peaceful with a moderate gradient. Straight into the wilderness. The lakes are iced over, but it can be a good idea and safest to walk along the edges. 5-6 km long loop and if you spend more time looking round than getting there, you'll need 2-3 hours. An incredibly beautiful area without many people. If you do meet someone, they're usually out on the same errand as you.
