On sunny summer evenings, without rain and with almost normal seasonal heat, it can be fun to stand and watch the blue skies from one of the peaks. Grimaren is a great destination and a fairly short hike at 1169 metres above sea level. Around 2.5 km each way and with just over 400 metres of ascent, this is perhaps Lifjell's most challenging hike. There is a large car park at Grimås and the trails are well marked. At the top of the mountain you can choose to go up 3-4 places. The further back, the slower the ascent. If you want to extend the hike, you can continue to Røysdalsnuten behind. Evening atmosphere between 20.30 and 22.00 up in the mountains, with temperatures of around 10 degrees at the end. Grimaren is a must for hikers in the area. Fantastic views of Skorve and Mælefjell. Not much of a view towards the town centre and slightly oblique towards Flatdal.
