Lifjell (1211.5 metres above sea level). A nice hike to the mountain Lifjell on Lifjell, that is. You can start the hike from Veslestaul on the Manheim side. There are over 900 hilly, high metres up from there. I took another alternative route, up via Fisbu and on to Haugestaul and Sletti, before descending into Heiersdalsåi for some gorge walking. A fantastic experience, now that the river is small. We then went up by Krossjuvet and up the other side to the path to Heiersdalstaulen. From there up to Fjellstaul and further up the mountain. Too much fog today, but GPS and mobile phones are good tools to have with you. The fog settles quickly and disappears quickly, so it's a good idea to keep an eye on it. 5 seconds of fog-free visibility can do wonders for your orientation. Take the time to wait and see. Swing around Holmetjønn to Lifjelltoppen (awkward peak). Descended to Skålbustaulen and back to the Veslestaul car park, where the motorcycle was parked. Total length 14.5 km and 4 1/2 hours
