A forest walk to the perfect view.
Brennmonuten is now familiar to most people. It's no wonder, with this view you get from here. It's not far up to the top from the road. About 1.3 kilometres. However, it is quite steep on the old forest road. Alternatively, you can walk up Oredalen (old hill on the other side). There you'll also find the remains of Skaret, an old homestead. Only the foundations remain now, but you can imagine life here in the old days. With a view of Skorve, Sinnesodden and Seljordsvatnet below. At the top, you sit on the rocky outcrop and almost feel like you're in a foreign country ... maybe you get an oriental feeling when you look out. "Bonsai" trees, unusual rock formations and Skorve with sprinkles. At this time of year (7 May), parking is not easy. The lower part is private and restricted, so you have to find a pocket by the road, or you have to park at Telnessanden Camping (50,-) and extend the hike by 2-3 km. It's a nice way to go. Have a good trip!
