Middle-earth exists and it's not that far away. These rugged mountainsides we have from Øyane in Flatdal up towards Skorve. The Skorve wall is not so easy to explore, but if you know where to go it becomes easier. This trip was meant to be a reconnaissance trip and I got it. The first part of the hike went past Kløvbekkfossen, which is fantastic to see so close up. It's probably 100 metres of free-falling water, and you're almost standing right under it. I walked along the slopes to the moor. It's far too grey, so you shouldn't do that. But, over in the primeval forest, it's quite easy to walk upwards. The only thing is that it's loose and unstable. Some moss makes it difficult to walk in. I continued up to the "stone lock" far up in the ura. This collection of stones stops the hike. You can't get past it alone. You need more people and a rope. But fit people can actually crawl through the lock. I'm very curious about Juvrehallin, which lies up ahead. I think it's a magical place. I'm imagining it. Lord of the rings. Middle-earth in Skorve. And it makes a big difference to experience areas you've only seen from a drone before. Fun. Making good goals for next year when it's dry and warm.
