Høgås provides a view. It's completely clear! Now it's perfect below 500 metres above sea level. The snow has melted and the terrain is dry enough to walk up the slope. Beautiful mountains and a nice pine forest at the top. Good views towards the town centre, Seljordsvatnet and Raudkleiv, Koltveiteggin, Skogsodd and the mountains further back towards snow-covered Brokefjell and Roholtfjellet. The trip can be made from Åsjeimgrendi (Raud garage). Down to Kivleåi over the bridge and up the beautiful forest road. Then follow the paths up Markji until you turn off behind the mountain to the top. 2-4 km back and forth with just under 200 metres in altitude. A great walk through the forest. You can also walk through Hartholt and up.
