Bjørgestigen, 896 metres of ascent.
Yes, it's steep. It's extremely steep at times. But there are also so many details. Beautiful paths, plants, animals and sounds, make you almost forget to get tired. But you probably will. If you take the trip all the way to the top of Bjørgefjell at 875 metres above sea level. From the new, large car park on the downhill side of the road for Bjørge Besøksgard, there are almost 900 vertical metres in total and over 10 km. Up and down again. This area provides an incredible overview of Seljord town centre. There are many good vantage points on the beautiful mountains. It's fun to look down on the town centre, through branches with pine needles and foliage. It gives you a close feeling. This is probably the most demanding hike to Bjørgenuten. You can walk from the back, by the Reinstaul car park, if you want an easier way up. Or, you can take a trip up Borkebudalen, and then go up the third route at Raudjuv. And follow the peaks beyond. There are many ways. Some people like to go hiking. You shouldn't do too much of that on Bjørgefjell. Because it's steep over the edge, at the front. You can get stuck if you're not familiar with it. Either way, it's lovely to walk in the forest, on hills and mountains. Enjoy your walk.
