Markji - along Kivleåi
There are so many beautiful forest walks you can take in this area. One of the most beautiful is up the old road along Kivleåi. This is where they used to walk when they went to church. And as health nurse Gunhild does nowadays, to go to work down in the village. You can walk from Prestegarden and up via Harthol or you can walk from Åsheimgrendi - down by the rough garage. Follow the signs and you'll reach the road just below Høgås. It winds its way upwards along fantastic scenery and passes Jaranbrekki. Continue up to Sandbrauti, before reaching Marki. Finally, you pass through Åmog and up to Kivledalen. There you turn around or you can go down Venås or the road to Åsheimgrendi. You'll have to look long and hard to find anything like nature in the local area. Peace and quiet. Chirping and babbling brooks.
